Integrated Academic Support Services

The mission of Integrated Academic Support Services (IASS) is to provide students with a holistic approach to tutorial and SI sessions rather than a “quick fix – just give me the answer” session. Our tutors and Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders assist students with the development of their writing, quantitative reasoning, and content-based learning as well as empower students with confidence to become independent and active learners. Our tutors and Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders attend training and professional development workshops giving them tools to facilitate one-on-one or small groups utilizing multiple learning strategies and to apply study and note-taking skills in sessions.
